Liberation News correspondents have been sending in frequent eyewitness updates from the frontlines of the of the unfolding struggle that has brought workers and students together in Wisconsin. Here are some of the thoughts our readers have shared with us in response to our coverage.
This is an inspiration to us all. The budget cuts here in California are only getting more intense and so far no action has taken place. I hope that as more news comes through it will inspire students in community colleges and universities to stand up and take action. Enough is enough! I wish all the brothers and sisters involved in the struggle in Wisconsin the best of luck and to not give in to any false compromises.

It’s essential that everyone throughout the country support the protesters in Wisconsin. We’ve got to stand up to injustice! We demonstrated for the people in Egypt, now we have got to demonstrate nationwide for the people of Wisconsin. Because if we don’t what is happening in Wisconsin will soon be happening in other states.
– Barbara W., California
Scott Walker is another tool of the ultra rich. When do ordinary people stop believing the propaganda of the rich, who have nearly all the money already, but want what is left and to control everyone else. Come on people, use the skills the teachers gave you to see through the LIES. It sure as hell is not public workers who have the money!!! Stop scapegoating your neighbors and think who is really behind this.
– Don H., Wisconsin
Great news! Someone has finally taken action to get the attention of legislators. Hope you win this one. The world is watching!

Courageous workers standing in solidarity is a beautiful sight and I wish you all the best. Good luck!

Workers and students must stand together to defend our economic rights and freedom to organize for living wages and benefits!
– Ibrahim R., Virginia
In Michigan, our governor and state legislature are working to place emergency financial managers in cities and school districts. These EMFs would be granted powers to alter or nullify any existing contracts. This is violation of the basic rule of law upon which all civil societies function.
-Bill W., Michigan
The people will no longer be slaves to their employees. Egypt, indeed!
