On Aug. 9, Ferguson, Mo. cop Darren Wilson gunned down 18 year-old Michael Brown in cold blood. Michael was unarmed and had his hands up when Wilson fired six shots, killing the teenager. A heroic uprising has swept Ferguson since the murder, demanding justice – beginning with the prosecution of Officer Wilson. The relentless, militarized police assault on the Black community in Ferguson has shocked the world, but the people are standing strong.
