A rally of tens of thousands of people packed Gaza City’s Palestine
Stadium Dec. 11 to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the founding of the
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Jamil Majdalawi
of the PFLP Political Bureau stated to the red-flag-waving crowd that
the Palestinian people have the right to all forms of resistance to
Israeli occupation, including armed resistance. He slammed the “peace
talks,” stating they only benefit Israel, and went on to say that Hamas
and Fatah should settle their differences in order to benefit the
Palestinian people and strengthen the resistance.
Majdalawi and
other speakers demanded the release of their imprisoned General
Secretary Ahmad Sa’adat, and exposed the horrors Palestinian political
prisoners endure in Israeli prisons.
Artistic works were also displayed.
The socialist PFLP has been fighting the Israeli imperialist watchdog state since the 1960s.
