The goal of the PSL is to organize and promote struggle, to facilitate
political awareness among the working class and to facilitate the
development of leaders from the working class, from the oppressed sectors
of society. The closing plenary addresses the PSL’s perspective on the work ahead of us, and calls for the building of a revolutionary party as a central task of working-class activists.
The first speaker of the closing plenary is Eugene Puryear. Eugene was the
2008 vice presidential candidate of the PSL and is a member of the Central
Committee of the PSL. He is followed by Nathalie Serrano, who shares her story about why
she joined the PSL. Nathalie is a member of our New York City branch. The final speaker of the plenary is Ian Thompson, a member of the PSL’s Central
Committee and one of the primary organizers of the conference. His closing presentation summarizes all that was accomplished and discussed at the conference.
The conference was live streamed and a selection of recorded video streams is available below. Higher quality videos recorded at the conference are being edited and will become available in the coming days.
