Last week we celebrated Jezebel’s fifth anniversary; in honor of the occasion we introduced you to our Jezebel 25, a list of notable women who have caught our attention and, we believe, are worthy of yours. Of course, there are hundreds of thousands — millions, even — of women out there who are kicking ass and taking names in ways that are worthy of our appreciation; narrowing it down to 25 active participants was a challenge. But it was worth it, not only because we were able to give these ladies a much deserved shout-out, but also because if you didn’t know their names, now you do. In addition to sitting for individual portraits, they also posed for group shots photographed by Nikola Tamindzic. The images are beautiful, and we’re particularly pleased because we see no reason why photographs of this caliber should be exclusive to some narrow-minded Vanity Fair spread or Kardashian holiday cards.
