The Peta Lindsay/Yari Osorio Presidential Campaign of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) has organized volunteers to travel nationwide during the week prior to the Nov. 6 election to spread the word about the campaign in every state in which we have achieved ballot access.
The PSL will be on the ballot in every region of the country: the West – Colorado, Utah, Washington; the South – Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana; the Midwest – Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin; and the Northeast – New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont.
About 85 million people live in these states, which include the third and fourth most populous states: New York and Florida. Almost 40 million registered voters — representing more than one-quarter of those registered in the country, and more than one-quarter of electoral votes — will have the option to vote for the PSL.
Almost 50 volunteers will be leaving their home state, some traveling across the country to be on the ground from Utah to Minnesota to Arkansas and Vermont, and many states in between. Many more are mobilizing in their home states to help spread the word about the campaign. In New York and New Jersey, campaign volunteers will also be assisting with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
You can still be a part of this effort!
Volunteers will be live tweeting during their outreach, and these tweets will be featured by our official campaign Twitter account: @VotePSL. Also follow the candidates – @PetaLindsay and @Yari_NoBorders – as they wrap up their campaigning. You don’t even need a Twitter account to read the reports – just click on the links above to view the pages or read the tweets.
You can also make a financial contribution. To make this mobilization happen, we have put plane tickets and other travel expenses on credit cards, and will have to pay the bills in the coming weeks. Please make a financial contribution now to help the Lindsay/Osorio Campaign successfully complete the election season.
Please take a moment to view the beautiful, full color palm cards that were custom made for each state in which the PSL achieved ballot access. They also take positions on important ballot initiatives in these states, and advise voters about how to vote for the PSL.
Don’t forget to make a financial contribution today to help pay for the printing of this literature along with the travel expenses of volunteers who took time off of work and school, and away from their families, to make sure that people across the country would know about the option to vote for Peta Lindsay and Yari Osorio.
