Arzu managed to drive another block before the car crashed into a pole and burst into flames. Shockingly, the police originally cited the fire as the cause of death. But Arzu’s death eventually was ruled a homicide. Lora claimed that Arzu was armed. No gun was found.

Arzu’s family and their supporters held a press conference the following weekend demanding justice for yet another senseless killing by the racist NYPD.
