Rich get richer, poor left behind

According to the 11th annual World Wealth Report compiled by Merrill Lynch and the Cap Gemini Group, the rich are

getting richer. The capitalists are benefiting greatly from their constant attempts to further exploit the working class—in imperialist and oppressed countries.

The accumulation of wealth is highly concentrated in the United States. The number of people with at least $1 million in assets grew 9.4 percent from last year to almost three million people. The richest 400 Americans—all billionaires—own more than the world’s 2.5 billion poorest people.

Worldwide, the number of millionaires is 9.5 million people; they have a total net worth of $37.2 trillion. India and Singapore experienced the largest rates of growth in the number of millionaires.

Globally, the super-rich capitalists—those with at least $30 million in investible assets—grew by 11.3 percent to 94,970 people.
