In order to strengthen the movement for justice and liberation different groups must unite on common ground to fight for all working, poor, and oppressed people. In Sacramento at a recent event marking the 10th year anniversary of the Party for Socialism and Liberation several organizations and groups gathered in unity. Members of M.E.Ch.A de Sac State read a statement of solidarity at that event.
The following statement was written by members of M.E.Ch.A. de Sac State and is republished here:

It is with great pleasure that we are here today to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL). We as M.E.Ch.A. de Sac State, an organization founded on the principles of justice and liberation, stand in solidarity with PSL and its human rights movement.
In this era of increased brutality and discrimination against our fellow sisters and brothers, it is imperative that we stand together as comrades to fight against these systems of injustice that are deeply embedded within this Capitalistic system. M.E.Ch.A de Sac State, just like Party for Socialism and Liberation, is also against for-profit wars and any war that puts Chicana/os and other brothers and sisters in a battle zone that is really meant for U.S empire expansion and U.S cultural, economic, and political hegemony throughout the globe.
Lastly, we would like to thank PSL for collaborating with us and bringing attention to issues of social justice, labor rights, and immigration. Thank you for standing alongside us while marching for our rights and dignity as human beings.
We hope to continue working together to fight issues of injustice, to end oppressions and to seek liberation for all peoples.
Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
M.E.Ch.A. de Sac State
