A racist video made by four white students at the University of the Free State in South Africa was made public last week. In the video, Black employees of the college were forced into performing degrading acts. The students involved are facing criminal charges.
The video was made to protest integration at the mainly white college where, eighteen years after apartheid was defeated, there were still separate white and Black dormitories.
Hundreds of Black students and workers held a protest at the Bloemfontein campus and marched to school management to present a list of demands.
The South African Students Congress plans to call for a national strike on March 6 to bring awareness to the virulent racism that still exists in South Africa.
