Danes acquitted of bogus ‘terrorism’ charges

Seven people in Denmark charged with supporting “terrorism” were acquitted by the Copenhagen City Court.

Their organization, Fighters and Lovers, sold T-shirts bearing the logos of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army (FARC-EP) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Fighters and Lovers pledged to donate five euros to the foreign groups for each T-shirt sold.

Most importantly, the ruling declared that the FARC-EP and the PFLP are “not really terrorist groups,” directly challenging Danish laws that criminalize support for groups on the European Union’s terrorist list.

“Freedom fighting is not terrorism,” commented defendant Michael Schoelardt.

The EU and U.S. governments unjustifiably demonize the FARC-EP and the PFLP as “terrorist” groups for their respective roles in the Colombian and Palestinian liberation struggles.
