Over 28 months later, London’s police force has been found guilty of putting the public at risk by shooting Jean Charles de Menezes seven times in the head in a subway station. They claim they mistook the innocent Brazilian man for a suicide bomber.
Britain’s most senior police officer, Sir Ian Blair, will likely be pressured to resign when the Independent Police Complaints Commission releases its report criticizing the Metropolitan Police in 15 different areas, including attempts by Blair to block the investigation.
Blair has argued for an internal investigation by the Metropolitan Police instead, apparently finding the murderous state institution accused of committing the crime unbiased enough to determine its own innocence or guilt.
