third anniversary of the death of Deandre Brunston, who was murdered by Los Angeles county sheriffs in Compton on Aug. 24, 2003.

Around 30 people attended the candlelight vigil from various progressive groups and neighbors in the surrounding area in Compton. PSL organizer Marcella Deneshenia gave a message of solidarity to the family of Deandre Brunston, including his aunt Keishia Brunston, who organized the vigil.
