On Saturday, July 8, the New York City branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation held a community speak out on 135th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard, in the heart of the Harlem community.
PSL members spoke out against unemployment and military recruiters in our neighborhoods, about the historic unity between the Mexican and African American communities, multinational unity, and the history of struggle in Harlem. We engaged community residents in dialogue about how to forge unity among our class to fight back around these issues. Around 15 people from the surrounding community signed up to become part of the struggle for a truly just and equitable society.
